Return to: Programs of Study The B.S. degree in Forensic Science prepares students for careers in this rapidly growing field. Due to advances in technology, solving crimes is all the more dependent on trace analysis of evidence left by criminals at crime scenes. Forensic scientists play a vital role in the criminal justice system by providing scientifically-based information through the analysis of physical evidence. The major serves as a pathway to a broad range of rewarding careers. The degree provides a strong foundation in chemistry and other sciences, while at the same time giving the student a detailed understanding of the criminal justice system.

Liberal Arts: 38 Hours
All majors at Harding are required to complete the 47-hour Liberal Arts program. The following Liberal Arts requirements are met within the content of the major:
- 9 hours of Inquiry, Investigation, and Reasoning are satisfied in the major.
