Return to: Programs of Study The B.S. degree in environmental science is an interdisciplinary degree between the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and the Department of Biology. This degree serves as a pathway to a broad range of rewarding careers. Environmental science gives you an overview of how science affects the environment. The degree provides a strong foundation in the natural sciences, such as biology, chemistry, geology, and ecology. The degree then allows for a choice of upper division coursework which will allow the student to take classes which align to career goals. Prior to graduation, students will complete a capstone project that addresses a specific environmental issue.
