All majors at Harding are required to complete the 47-hour Liberal Arts program. The following Liberal Arts requirements are met within the content of the major:
EDFD 2030 and a modern foreign language satisfy 6 hours of Self and Society.
Additional Requirement:
MATH 1200 or higher is required to satisfy 3 hours of Inquiry, Investigation, and Reasoning in accordance with the Liberal Arts policy.
Major: 32 Hours
Required hours include 20 upper-level hours, of which at least 8 must be 4000-level. Included in the 32 hours Spanish majors must have at least one course in Latin America (SPAN 4110, SPAN 3150, or SPAN 3250) and one course in Peninsular-based content (SPAN 3040, SPAN 4010, SPAN 4020, SPAN 4350, or SPAN 4360).
or any aforementioned Spanish courses not used to meet another requirement.

During the semester prior to student teaching, licensure candidates must schedule an official telephonic oral proficiency interview. The target rating is Advanced Low.
