SPED 6160 - Literacy Intervention Strategies


A study of children with special needs and the teacher’s role as the agent of quality instruction and intervention as it relates to Reading and Language Arts. Specifically, this course will focus on Tier 2 & 3 literacy instruction and will require candidates to investigate and practice common literacy assessments in schools in Arkansas and learn to design appropriate literacy interventions for struggling readers and children with exceptionalities.

Prerequisite(s): Admission in the MAT graduate program.

Credit Hours: 3
