SPED 6230 - Interdisciplinary Planning and Methods for Working with Students with Exceptionalities This course will provide a study of current theories, practices and procedures used to develop programs for students with exceptionalities. Professionals from involved disciplines will discuss interdisciplinary strategies and materials utilized with students with special needs. In addition, there will be a focus on the following: best practices; current issues in human development and special education; assistive technology; collaboration with families, other educators, related service providers, and personnel from community agencies in culturally responsive ways; and concerns facing individuals working in the field of special education.
