ENG 2610 - Script Writing for Television and Film

This course will introduce students to the theory and techniques required to write scripts for short works such as television advertising, programing, and short narrative films. Students will learn film and television screenplay structure; analyze dramatic strategies in advertisements, film and television; learn and apply correct script form; and creatively engage in the various stages of original scriptwriting. The class will use a workshop format for the drafting and analysis of scripts for television advertising and programming, and a short narrative film.

Credit Hours: 3
