The expected Program Learning Outcomes for this major are:
- Evaluate the computer network and information security needs of an organization.
- Assess risk and create cybersecurity risk management policies in order to adequately protect an organization’s critical information and assets.
- Implement appropriate tools to prevent, detect, react, and recover from cyber-attacks.
- Analyze and create different forms of attack
- Demonstrate understanding of the legal and technical aspects of a cybercrime investigation and the application of computer forensic tools.
- Integrate knowledge from other disciplines, such, criminal justice, psychology, politics and human factors, with their technical expertise to devise and communicate practical solutions to cybersecurity issues
- Explain how ethical issues impact decision making in the cybersecurity area
- Conduct cyber activities in an Ethical, Social, and Professional Manner
