Clinical Mental Health Counseling, MS/Eds


The expected Program Learning Outcomes for this program are:

  • Graduates will be able to articulate and demonstrate basic professional and ethical counseling knowledge and behavior with diverse populations and contextual issues..
  • Graduates will be able to demonstrate foundational counseling skills including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and systemic intervention skills (as appropriate to setting).
  • Graduates will be able to demonstrate professionalism and capability to function effectively in their chosen work environments (clinical, MFT and/or school) via their clinical experience placements.
  • Graduates will demonstrate basic knowledge and ability to provide an empirically supported intervention.
  • Graduates will meet the educational requirements leading to the appropriate counseling licensure (professional school counselor and/or licensed professional counselor and/or marriage and family therapist) at the state level for Arkansas as well as other states.
