Students who hold an Arkansas teaching license may add this endorsement by satisfactorily completing the courses listed below and passing the Arkansas Department of Education approved Praxis II examination for Special Education licensure.

Admission requirements for this endorsement are the same as the Master of Education in Special Education K-12.

SPED 621 - Characteristics of Students with Exceptionalities Credit Hours: 3
SPED 622 - Assessment of the Learner with Exceptionalities Credit Hours: 3
SPED 623 - Interdisciplinary Planning and Methods for Working with Students with Exceptionalities Credit Hours: 3
SPED 626 - Foundations in Special Education K-12 Credit Hours: 3
SPED 630 - Literacy Strategies for Beginning/Emergent Readers Credit Hours: 3
SPED 677 - Legal and Ethical Issues in Special Education Credit Hours: 3
