Harding University School of Theology is authorized for operation by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission. This authorization must be renewed each year and is based on an evaluation by minimum standards concerning quality of education, ethical business practices, health and safety, and fiscal responsibility. Harding University admits students of any race, age, color, and national or ethnic origin. Also, in compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Harding University does not discriminate on the basis of sex or handicap in its educational programs, activities or employment except where necessary by specific religious tenets held by the institution and its controlling body.
