Return to: Honors College Honors students who wish to pursue rigorous academic and creative discovery unavailable through traditional majors should consider structuring their own program of study through the Honors College. Honors students who wish to make use of this option will submit an application to the dean of the Honors College, form an advisory faculty committee, design a unique course of study, and must receive written approval from the dean of the Honors College and the vice president of academic affairs. Sample degree plans for interdisciplinary studies are available in the Honors House and at the Honors College Web site (www.harding.edu/honors) to stimulate students to consider their education from different perspectives.
This program of study may not be used as a second degree or major.
Students pursuing the major must be a member of the Honors College in good standing (requires a 3.25 GPA). Contact Jeffrey T. Hopper, dean of the Honors College, for more information. |
