The curriculum provides the student with the opportunity to acquire knowledge regarding the roles of law enforcement, prosecution, defense, courts, laws, corrections, probation and parole, juvenile justice systems, and other governmental agencies as they relate to social order. The student seeking this degree should be aware that some careers in criminal justice may require a criminal background check. The student should check with the specific agency in which he/she is interested for any applicable requirements.
