NURS 3630 - Pathophysiology for Nursing Practice


Alterations in physiological well-being across the lifespan are studied from national and global nursing perspectives as pathological responses to disease, stress, and environmental changes. Critical thinking, research-based findings, and scientific knowledge are applied to analyze clinical nursing implications and patient outcomes. Three lecture hours per week. If it has been more than four years since the student has completed BIOL 2405/2405L  or BIOL 3210/3210L , contact course coordinator.

Prerequisite(s): Sophomore standing, BIOL 2400/2400L  or BIOL 3200/3200L , BIOL 2405/2405L  or BIOL 3210/3210L , and CHEM 1010/1010L  or CHEM 1020/1020L  or CHEM 1040/1040L .

This course must be taken prior to admission to the College of Nursing.

Credit Hours: 3

Term Offered: Fall, Spring (Summer with sufficient enrollment)
