PHYS 211 - Engineering Physics I

A beginning calculus-based physics course for physical science, mathematics, and engineering majors. Provides a basis for further studies in physics and the applied sciences. Topics covered include mechanics, waves, and thermodynamics. Three hours lecture and 3 hours laboratory per week. Credit in both PHYS 201  and PHYS 211  will not be granted. .

Prerequisite(s): Prerequisite: Concurrent enrollment or credit in MATH 251  and a grade of ‘C’ in MATH 201 . 

Credit Hours: 4
