BMIN 5874 - Ministry Call and Context This course helps participants explore and clarify their ministry call, gifts, and orientation. It brings theological and practical resources to bear on the nature of ministry in scripture and history, the contours of ministry in the current cultural millieu, the facets of ministry that integrate the full range of God’s work of reconcilitation (e.g. evangelism and social action), and the importance of local churches in God’s economy.
Course substitution option: Students with substantial ministry experience (including inister, elder, deacon, etc.) may substitute another non-required ministry course with permission of the director of field education.
Credit Hours: 3
