COMM 316 - Sports Writing and Reporting

Students will ground themselves in traditional storytelling formats, along with special instruction in sports style, interviewing techniques, research strategies, sports law, the various sports beats, sports and new media, issues of race and gender and basic column writing techniques and styles among other topics.

Prerequisite(s): Prerequisite: COMM 230  or COMM 231  or consent of instructor.

Credit Hours: 3

Term Offered: Fall of even years
