RDNG 415 - Interdisciplinary Literacy This course is designed to prepare teachers of English/Language Arts and content areas to imbed the literacy standards outlined by the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) into their instructional practice. It will also prepare candidates to develop a deeper understanding of the CCSS aligned assessments and how to attain student learning goals through using them to assist in creating tasks that elicit evidence of student content as well as literacy understanding. Candidates will explore, manipulate and demonstrate mastery of the CCSS Reading for Information standards and the writing standards as tools for creating instruction.
Prerequisite(s): Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Teacher Education Program and RDNG 412 .
