NURS 352 - Nursing Adults with Acute Health Concerns

Research-based theories, concepts, and the nursing process are emphasized using critical-thinking skills to provide holistic nursing care. In tertiary care settings, students use standards of ethical professional nursing practice to assist adult clients with acute health concerns to restore, maintain, and promote health, attain optimum well-being, or to die with dignity. Responsibility and accountability for nursing care, collaboration, resource conservation and use, respect for human worth and dignity, national and global concerns, and a commitment to a servant-leadership lifestyle are foundational to effective clinical judgments and client outcomes. Three lecture hours per week and 96 clinical hours.
