BIB 409 - Critical Issues in the Old Testament and New Testament

The course is a survey of the various discussions in current biblical scholarship which have the potential to undermine faith in the inspiration and authority of the Bible. The course will discuss such issues as inspiration, canon, historiogrpahy, the documentary hypothesis, the Synoptic problem, the Jesus Seminar, pseudonymity, and similar issues. Students are strongly encouraged to take this course as a prerequisite to BIB 419.

Credit Hours: 3
