SWK 412 - Community Practice This course is intended to familiarize the student with community, organizations and community organizational issues including community assessment for strengths and needs. The student will work in groups to problem solve a community organization need that directly responds with advocacy and social justice for at risk populations. Groups will assist with resource development and program implementation. Integrating class time and application with various non-profit organizations through a 40 hour student volunteer activity. Attendance at community council meetings to facilitate understanding of community planning and development is required.
Prerequisite(s): Prerequisite: SWK 351 .
