ENGR 4550 - Lean Six Sigma

This course introduces topics in Lean Six Sigma. These topics are in high demand in multiple industries and they provide very powerful and useful ways for improving businesses and processes. The course is based on the American Society for Quality (ASQ) Body of Knowledge for the Certified Green Belt. Topics include goals of Six Sigma, an introduction to Lean and DFSS, and the Six Sigma improvement methodology and tools (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control phases).

Prerequisite(s): ENGR 3600 or another course containing basic statistics with consent of the department chair
