BIOL 3520 - Nutrigenetics and Nutrigenomics


This course is designed to provide the student with an understanding of the fundamental concepts involved in how nutrients regulate gene expression (nutrigenomics) and how an individual's genotype influences their nutrient requirements (nutrigenetics). The course will also investigate the commercial development of functional and genotype-specific personalized foods and beverages of the future.

Prerequisite(s): BIOL 3000  or CHEM 3820
