FCS 6340 - Cultural and Ethical Nutrition CareThis course will cover topics related to providing cultural and ethical nutrition care within any practice environment from a Christian viewpoint. Topics include cultural identity, bias, and privilege, cultural competence and humility models, dietary patterns and cultural foods, challenges between cultures and the profession, culturally sensitive approaches and skills, ethical practice, scope and standards of practice, and contemporary ethical issues. Students will learn how cultural and ethical nutrition care converge and are the basis for tailored care. Credit Hours: 2 Term Offered: Fall |
