FCS 6320 - Nutrition CounselingIn this course, students will apply behavior change theories and models, counseling techniques, and interpersonal principles to nutrition counseling sessions. Didactic and experiential learning will be combined in this course to enable students to learn, practice, reflect, and repeat. Cultural competence, professional ethics, communication methods, factors affecting dietary behaviors, evidence-based practices, and patient-centered service are concepts that will be covered in this course.
