FCS 6150 - Grant Writing and FundraisingThis course will cover the two main sources of external funding: donations and grants. Students will learn the basic terminology and concepts associated with fundraising and development including the development cycle, a case for support, identifying prospective donors, stewarding a relationship with donors, types of donations, solicitation, and ethical considerations. Students will also learn about grants including the grant funding sources, researching grants, letters of inquiry, and grant proposal writing. Credit Hours: 2 Term Offered: Fall |
