COUN 6230 - Relational Counseling/Therapy


A focus on evidence based practices for the assessment and treatment of diverse relational dynamics. Within the context of marital and family systems, students will learn to diagnose and treat both dysfunctional relationship patterns and mental disorders within a relational dyad. An emphasis will be given to treating a broad range of relational diagnoses and presenting complaints such as premarital counseling, human sexuality, sexual dysfunctions, same-sex relationships, divorce, and remarriage.
