BIOL 2400/2400L - Anatomy and Physiology I for NursesFirst half of a two-semester sequence. Explores the normal, functional morphology of humans necessary for nursing students. Students are introduced to major structures and functions of the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, and nervous organ systems as well as basic concepts and terminology needed for future courses. The laboratory component of this course includes microscopic and gross examination of human structure and function. A hands on approach in lab supports and emphasizes material introduced in the lecture using dissection, models, and active learning approaches. Three lectures and 3 hours of laboratory per week. This course cannot be applied to a degree in the College of Sciences. Prerequisite(s): CHEM 1010/1010L Credit Hours: 4 Term Offered: Fall, Spring Fee(s): $82 |
