ENG 3300 - Studies in English and the Medical HumanitiesThis course examines the connection between literature, writing, and the healing arts with the more specific purpose of analyzing the role of stories in the healing process. This curriculum is particularly geared to those in the various medical professions, but it addresses the broader humanistic questions of how our human situation is affected by suffering, by wounds-physical, spiritual, emotional--and gives a framework through which we can make meaning from the experiences through the reading and writing processes.
