EDL 7690 - School Finance for the Superintendent


This course offers a comprehensive view of the financial aspects of public schools, especially those skills needed by a district-level administrator. It explores the basic concepts of local, state, and federal support. In addition, the course will focus on topics including school database accounting procedures, budgets, capital financing, purchases, fiscal management, audits, board and community communication, and current issues and trends in public school finance. 

Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Ed.S. program, the Ed.D. program, or superintendent endorsement program of study.
