CJ 3450 - EvidenceThe purpose of this course is to provide instruction on the statutory, constitutional, and judicial rules that govern the introduction and admissibility of evidence in a criminal prosecution. The course will provide students with a job-related understanding of statute and case law relating to testimonial, documentary, real and physical evidence that apply during a criminal investigation. In addition, the course will address an overview of how rules of evidence are argued in the courtroom during motions and at trial. Emphasis is placed on the Federal Rules of Evidence and State-specific rules of evidence that differ from the Federal Rules. Prerequisite(s): CJ 2261 . Credit Hours: 3 Term Offered: Spring |
