ECED 5110 - Early Childhood Curriculum Design and Assessment


A study of the early childhood curriculum and its alignment with state frameworks, educational theories and national guidelines. Methods and materials for designing developmentally appropriate learning opportunities, differentiating instruction and assessing learning in the various areas of early childhood curriculum will be modeled. The importance of play, the uses of technology, and the inclusion of multicultural considerations will be embedded in the course.

Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Teacher Education Program, ECED 3100  / ECED 5100  and EDFD 3110  / EDFD 5110
