COUN 6110 - Multicultural CounselingMulticultural counseling course designed to help students: (a) Review the multicultural counseling literature and outcomes informed models, (b) promote self-awareness and self-knowledge, (c) facilitate the construction of cultural knowledge to increase awareness and sensitivity to issues that promote anti-racist practices, (d) identify intervention strategies applicable to diverse, marginalized, and/or underserved individuals, relationships and communities, and (e) promote development of a personal philosophy that creates an awareness of self, biases, prejudices and promotes becoming a multiculturally competent counselor.
