COMM 4260 - CinematographyThe origin of the word cinematography is Greek, with cinema meaning movement and graphy meaning writing. Thus, cinematography is "writing with movement." This course will build on concepts from COMM 2530 by introducing students to the world of cinematic camera work. Students will become familiar with the various digital and film cameras available and learn the responsibilities of camera crew members. Specifically, students will learn the concepts needed to control the quality of images created, understand the importance of camera prep, and learn the principles of camera movement.
