BHIS 5641 - African Americans in the Stone-Campbell Movement


This course offers a historical survey of the participation of African Americans in the Stone-Campbell movement from the 19th century to the present. Students will be introduced to major historical personalities, black and white, who contributed to the emergence and expansion of black churches of Christ in America. The course seeks to assess this religious group in both its historical and cultural context.
