BENG 3300 - Medical Electronics DesignA biomedical engineering course focusing on the design of medical diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and devices. Physical and electrical principles of medical devices are addressed in relation to medical diagnostics and interventions. Typical topics include the design and principles of operation of: electrocardiographs, cardiac pacemakers/defibrillators, mechanical ventilators, fetal monitors, pulse oximeters, anesthesia delivery, dialysis equipment, and medical lasers.
