Requirements

Students seeking teaching licensure must follow eligibility criteria for admission and retention listed in the Cannon-Clary College of Education section of the undergraduate catalog.

Liberal Arts: 44 Hours

All majors at Harding are required to complete 53 hours of Liberal Arts  studies. The following Liberal Arts requirements are met within the content of the major:

• Three hours of the Creative Spirit component are met within the major and counted below. ENG 2010  or ENG 2020  is required to complete the Creative Spirit component.
• THEA 3060  satisfies three hours of the Global Perspectives component and is counted below in the Theatre Core.
• EDFD 2030 , required in place of PSY 2010 , satisfies three hours of the Individual and Social Environment component and is counted below in the hours required for licensure.

Notes:

• Students must take any mathematics course numbered MATH 1200  or higher to satisfy three hours of the Natural World component, excluding MATH 1340 , MATH 2131 , MATH 2231 , MATH 2700 , and MATH 2900 .
• ANTH 2500 , GEOG 2506 /GEOG 2551 , or POLS 2100  is recommended for the remaining Global Perspectives requirement.
