Liberal Arts: 47 Hours

All majors at Harding are required to complete 53 hours of Liberal Arts  studies. The following Liberal Arts requirements are met within the content of the major:

• Six hours of the Global Perspectives component are met by the foreign language courses and the hours are counted below in the major.

Major: 31 Hours

At least 31 hours of French (FR) courses, including 19 hours of upper-level credit, of which 7 must be 4000-level. The remaining 12 hours may include courses in elementary or intermediate French.

• FR 3030 - Advanced Grammar and Composition Credit Hours: 3
• FR 3130 - Advanced Conversation Credit Hours: 3
• FR 3271 - Selected Readings in Culture and Literature Credit Hours: 3

• or FR 3272 - Selected Readings: Wisdom Literature Credit Hours: 3  

  or FR 4010 - Survey of French Literature I Credit Hours: 3   

  or FR 4020 - Survey of French Literature II Credit Hours: 3   

  or FR 4070 - African and Caribbean Francophone Culture and Literature Credit Hours: 3  

• FR 4330 - Advanced Phonetics Credit Hours: 3
• FR 4510 - Senior Seminar Credit Hours: 1

Minor: 18 Hours

Electives: 24 Hours

Remaining Bible/Electives: 8 Hours
