Requirements

Liberal Arts: 44 Hours

All majors at Harding are required to complete 53 hours of Liberal Arts studies. The following Liberal Arts courses are specifically required or met within the content of the major:

EDFD 2030 (in place of PSY 2010 and counted below in the hours required for the major) and POLS 1787 are required and satisfy six hours of the Individual and the Social Environment component.
KINS 1010 and a Kinesiology Recreation Activity course are still required to complete the component.
GEOG 2506 or GEOG 2551 is required and satisfies three hours of the Global Perspectives component.
MATH 1200 or higher is required and satisfies three hours of the Natural World component.
PHS 1010 / PHS 1010L , PHS 1070/1070L , or another approved lab science is required and satisfies three hours of the Natural World component.
Six hours of history satisfy the Historical Perspectives component and are counted below in the hours required for the major.

Additional requirement: All education majors (licensure) must pass the appropriate Principles of Learning and Teaching pedagogy exam from Educational Testing Services as a requirement for graduation.
