Liberal Arts: 47 Hours

All majors at Harding are required to complete 53 hours of Liberal Arts  studies. The following Liberal Arts requirements are met within the content of the major:

• 6 hours of history are counted below in the hours required for the major.

Required:

• The Liberal Arts Global Perspective component must be met by two semesters of a modern foreign language (minimum of 6 hours).

Recommended:

• POLS 1787  is strongly recommended for the individual and the social environment requirement.

• HIST 1010 - American History to 1877 Credit Hours: 3
• HIST 1020 - American History Since 1877 Credit Hours: 3
• HIST 2100 - Western Civilization to 1500 Credit Hours: 3
• HIST 2110 - Western Civilization Since 1500 Credit Hours: 3
• HIST 4900 - Senior Seminar in History Credit Hours: 3
• SOCS 2600 - Research and Writing Credit Hours: 3

• 18 additional hours in History (at least 15 hours must be upper level and 6 of those hours must be from courses numbered 3600 or higher)

Minor: 18 Hours
