Exercise Science: Pre-Athletic Training Major (EXAT), BS

This 3+2 curriculum makes it possible for qualified students to complete both a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a Master of Science in Athletic Training in five years. Students must complete some summer coursework in order to finish the undergraduate requirements in three years. In order to complete the B.S., students must successfully complete the first three semesters (summer, fall, and spring) of the Athletic Training (MSAT) program. The number of hours required will depend on which year students enter the program.

Students must still apply and be accepted into the Athletic Training program in order to complete this major. All pre-requisite coursework must be completed with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in order to be admitted into the Athletic Training program. Courses with a grade of “D” will not be accepted.

Students who are not accepted into the Athletic Training (MSAT) program will transition to the four-year Exercise Science major.
