Students who hold an educationally related master’s degree from a regionally accredited university and an Arkansas teaching license may add this endorsement by satisfactorily completing the 24 hours of reading courses listed below and by passing the Praxis Reading Specialist Exam. Students not teaching in Arkansas should check with their state department of education for specific requirements for licensure.

Admission requirements for this endorsement are the same as the Master of Education in Reading with Dyslexia Endorsement .

RDNG 6150 - Literacy Assessment Credit Hours: 3
RDNG 6200 - Writing: Theories and Processes Credit Hours: 3
RDNG 6300 - Literacy Strategies for Beginning/Emergent Readers Credit Hours: 3
RDNG 6330 - Literacy Assessment and Intervention Field Experience Credit Hours: 3
RDNG 6340 - Literacy Curriculum Credit Hours: 3
RDNG 6400 - Literacy Interventions Credit Hours: 3
RDNG 6500 - Interdisciplinary Literacy Strategies for Adolescent Readers Credit Hours: 3
