Liberal Arts: 47 Hours

All majors at Harding are required 53 hours in the Liberal Arts. The following requirements are met within the major:

• Three hours of the Creative Spirit in the Liberal Arts  requirements are met within the major and counted below. ENG 2010  or ENG 2020  is still required.
• Three hours of Global Perspective credit are met by MUS 3240  and counted below. Three additional hours of Global Perspectives is still required.

Music Major Core: 32 Hours

Music major status requires a passing score of 80 percent or higher on the Theory Entrance Exam or MUS 1700 with a grade of “B” or higher; and satisfactory performance on the Theory, Keyboard and Principle Applied Performance Evaluations. Bachelor of Music status requires meeting the technical proficiency and repertoire standards of the BMPP program. If the BMPP standards are not met upon enrollment, the student may be admitted provisionally and must meet the standards by the beginning of the second semester in order to be considered a BMPP candidate.
