Requirements


Liberal Arts: 53 Hours


Required:

  • Student must take either BMIS 3000  or BMIS 3020  to meet 3 hours of required the Global Perspectives component.
  • ECON 2010  is required in the Business core.

Recommended:

Business Administration Core: 41 Hours


All Bachelor of Business Administration degree (B.B.A.) majors require a uniform Business Core of 41 hours. ECON 2010 ** does satisfy 3 hours of the Liberal Arts program, and is counted above. The purpose of the core is to provide understanding of a generally recognized common body of knowledge in business. The Business Core consists of:

* MATH 1200  is strongly recommended to fulfill the Liberal Arts requirement in math for all B.B.A. degree majors and serves as the prerequisite for this course.

** ECON 2010  is part of the Liberal Arts program.

International Business Requirements: 30 Hours


Note(s):


An international business experience is required. This experience is not for credit, but is required for graduation. The experience must be approved by the director of the International Business program and includes, among other items, any HU International program or COBA sponsored international program. International students are waived from this requirement.

Remaining Bible/Electives: 4 Hours

BUS 4350  is included in the Business Core above and satisfies the Bible requirement in the semester it is taken.

Graduate Credit Note(s):


Up to 12 hours of graduate credit in the Management and Business Ethics (MBA)   or Information Systems (MSIS)  graduate programs may be used to satisfy the requirements for the BBA.
