Students seeking teaching licensure must follow eligibility criteria for admission and retention listed in the Cannon-Clary College of Education section of the undergraduate catalog.
Liberal Arts: 44 Hours
All majors at Harding are required to complete 53 hours of Liberal Arts studies. The following Liberal Arts requirements are met within the content of the major:
Three hours of the Creative Spirit in the Liberal Arts Program requirements are met within the major and counted below. ENG 2010 or ENG 2020 is required.
THEA 3060 satisfies three hours of the Global Perspectives requirements in the Liberal Arts and is counted below in the major.
EDFD 2030, is required in place of PSY 2010 in the Individual and Social Environment component and is counted below in the hours required for licensure.
Consult the Cannon-Clary College of Education catalog section for additional licensure information. Prior to graduation, student is required to take the appropriate professional examinations for this area. This includes, but is not limited to, the PRAXIS II. Student is required to furnish complete scores on these tests to the department.
