Acting Major (ACT), BA

Requirements

To enter this major, students must have completed THEA 190  and THEA 200  with a “B” or better and audition for entry. Auditions are scheduled through the department office.

Acting major status requires completion of THEA 309  and THEA 312  with a “B” or better in both courses and satisfactory performance on the Junior Acting/Performance Jury.

Acting majors must audition for every faculty directed show, but are not guaranteed a role.

Program Learning Outcomes  

Liberal Arts: 47 hours

All majors at Harding are required to complete 53 hours of Liberal Arts  studies. The following Liberal Arts requirements are met within the content of the major.

• Three hours of the Creative Spirit component are met within the content of the major and counted below. ENG 201  or ENG 202  is required to complete the Creative Spirit component.
• THEA 306  satisfies three hours of the Global Perspective component and is counted below.
