Note(s):
At least 20 of the 32 hours must be upper-level, of which at least 6 must be 400-level. In addition, Spanish majors must have at least one course in Latin America (SPAN 311 or SPAN 315 or SPAN 325 ) and one course in Peninsular-based content (SPAN 304 , SPAN 401 , SPAN 402 , SPAN 435 or SPAN 436 ).
During the semester prior to student teaching, licensure candidates must schedule a Harding Oral Proficiency Evaluation (HOPE). The accepted passing level is Advanced Low. An official ACTFL Oral Proficiency telephonic interview with a level of Advanced Low is required prior to granting licensure upon graduation.
