The College of Arts and Humanities offers a Bachelor of Arts degree with a humanities major.
The Humanities major leads to careers in professions where human values and empathy for other cultures are stressed. Insights into past and present cultures promote greater awareness and understanding of the world and its people.
The major can be tailored to one’s curiosity and interests in more than one area of the liberal arts. The interdisciplinary nature of the projects and activities promote self-discipline and nurture self-confidence. Students who are seeking to become a freelance professional or pursue graduate study in library science, the liberal arts, or law may find this major of interest.
For more information about this major, students should consult the dean of the College of Arts and Humanities.
