IS 3150 - Data Visualization and Analysis


Students will learn the skills to present analytic results in a clear, concise, and visually appealing manner. This hands-on course will introduce students to various tools of data visualization, visualization best practices, and common visualization pitfalls. Use of data visualization tools such as Tableau are adopted to develop hands-on skills. Students will also build targeted dashboards and data stories based on audience needs. Other tools such as Power BI, Flourish Studio, etc. may be introduced to reflect on the variety of data visualization tools available for a data analyst.

Prerequisite(s): IS 2400
