CHEM 3810 - General Biochemistry Survey of biochemistry; static/dynamic aspects of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, nucleic acid. Includes discussion of metabolic pathways, energy production, gene regulation, and metabolic regulatory mechanisms. This class does not satisfy the prerequisite for CHEM 3850 (Biochemistry II). This class may make use of the testing center and/or may give exams outside of regularly scheduled class hours. This course will not fulfill degree requirements for the following majors (CHEM, BIOC, BCMB, MCB, BIOL). This course may not satisfy the degree requirements of some majors.
Prerequisite(s): CHEM 1050/1050L and CHEM 2110 , or CHEM 3740/3740L with a grade of “C” or higher.
