Community resources are identified and interdisciplinary collaboration encouraged in secondary and community-based care settings to assist elders in adapting to the aging process, maintaining wellness and achieving optimum well-being. Prevention and management of common acute and chronic health problems are emphasized while exploring nursing interventions to assist older clients to restore, maintain and promote health; attain optimum well-being or to die with dignity. Two lecture hours per week. Prerequisite(s): Level I standing.
